Animal Line Art – Part One

Hi everyone, today I’m going to share with you some of my latest work from an on-going series.

If you are following me on my Instagram, you would know I’ve been creating a series of animal portraits. I didn’t really name these pieces but I think they are sort of like animal line art.  They are all digital drawings in a distinct line sytle. My goal for this series is to have the images look clean, simple and smooth. The main subjects of these drawings are animals and sometimes with a tiny twist. I think I will just show you guys the images and you will understand.

World Map Husky

I love how goofy this husky looks like. He may seem silly but he is really reliable when it comes to navigation. He is a husky with a world map on him after all.  When I was working on this one, I was thinking a way to make him unique. It just occurred to me to turn the pattern of his fur in to a world map and the end result looks nice. How do you like it?

What A Hotdog

Here is a very cute and sassy frenchbull. She’s got a nice style with her vintage swimwear and the matching polka dot headband. After I finished the entire drawing I decided to give her a tattoo and naturally a hotdog was what came to my mind. I also made an tiny animation out of her. Unfortunately I can’t insert a video here in the post. If you are interested in the animation you can click here to see.

The Businessman

This is a handsome old fellow wearing a very nice suit. After working on the swimwear I felt like dressing up another animal. So I chose to draw a chimpanzee and put him in a really nice outfit. I did some research on the internet and found this style of suit with a vet. I liked the colour and the vintage style. One thing missing here is a pair of vintage glasses. It’s only after I finished the entire drawing that I noticed that! He still got his cool though.

Family Face Time

This next piece combined animals and the technology we have today which is to video chat with your friends and family. Daddy cat was on a businness trip and the baby cat missed his dad. Therefore mommy cat helped them to say hi to each other. You can see that the daddy cat was not very familir with his front camera.

Summer Drink

The last priced today was a very cute bunny named Buttercup. She is an actual bunny on the internet and she even has her own fan page. She is very adorable so I decided to draw her. I gave her a glass of citrus flavoured drink and she’s wearing her heart shaped sunglasses.

How do you like these animal line art? Do you have a favourite piece? Please leave a comment and let me know.If you like my art work and would love to learn more about me, please read this article. Hope you are having a great day!
